Commission: Drogon

Phew finally done! This is my most detailed sculpture to date and it wasn't actually as hard as I was expecting, sculpting went very smoothly and I didn't have any problems along the way. Yay for good strong armatures! I'm uploading three pictures cos I feel like it. Others below...

I used Sculpey Firm and Super Sculpey along with some Apoxy Sculpt for the teeth, armature, etc. I made the wings from masking tape covered in many (many) layers of modelling paste and I'm very pleased with the effect. I think I've finally cracked my preferred method for dragon wings. I painted a base with acrylics and used chalk pastels for more subtle shading and I am very happy with how they go on, very nice.
